CAHCS presents a talk by local man Seamus Coakley. Seamus is the author of ‘From the Cowpath to the Flyer Nyhan’ a history of the Diarmuid O’Mathuna GAA Club.

Seamus will speak about the Castletown / Coppeen area before the formation of the GAA club, and the athletic meetings and events of those days, plus much more. His research has brought to light many extraordinary feats by some of those early athletes & sportsmen. The title of this talk is: ‘Diarmuid O’Mathuna GAA Club; an idea that became a reality’ A most interesting & entertaining night is assured for all in An Caipín, Coppeen on Wed. 6th Nov. at 8:30.
